Exploring new eco-friendly materials

I recently came across some fantastic options for sustainable building materials that really piqued my interest. Have any of you used hempcrete or reclaimed wood in your projects? I’m curious about the long-term performance and energy efficiency of these materials, especially in different climates. Would love to hear your experiences.

Hempcrete’s awesome for insulation, but it might not handle moisture like traditional materials. I’ve tried reclaimed wood on a couple of projects — it brings character but needs good maintenance. Anyone else feel like they’re playing doctor when trying to preserve those beautiful grains?

Reclaimed wood adds a unique touch, but I’ve found it can warp if not properly treated — it’s like trying to make a tightrope walker out of a noodle! Have you looked into how climate can change its performance over time? Curious to hear more about your projects.
