Exploring Biophilic Design through Light

I recently came across a new project in Singapore that uses dynamic lighting to mimic natural patterns, and it got me thinking about how powerful light can be in enhancing biophilic design. The way they incorporated daylight movement in the interiors really enhances the connection to nature. Would love to hear thoughts on other projects that successfully merge natural lighting with architecture.

I totally agree about the lighting aspect enhancing > the connection to nature. It reminds me of a café in the heart of Sydney that uses color-changing LED lights to reflect the time of day. The customers really seem to appreciate how it shifts their mood throughout the day. However, it can be tricky balancing bright light during peak hours without overwhelming the space.

I recently visited a workspace in Amsterdam that used skylights to create that perfect daylight dance you mentioned… It’s like an app that knows just how to brighten your mood — just with sunlight! @taylor_k92, have you come across any other projects that play with lighting to boost our natural connections?

I’ve seen how creative use of light can transform spaces, like a restaurant I visited that used natural elements and changes in lighting to make you feel like you were dining outdoors. It’s like bringing the outside in without needing a sunroof! Projects like these really show how light can elevate our experience of a space.
