As we shape our urban environments, how do we ensure there’s enough green space amid growing density? I’ve been reflecting on recent projects like Copenhagen’s integration of parks within high-density zones, which seems critical for community well-being. I’m interested in hearing how others are approaching this challenge in their designs.
It’s all about finding that sweet spot, like squeezing a lemon for the perfect amount of tang in a dish. Incorporating vertical gardens can really help maintain green space without sacrificing too much ground area — what do you think about that approach?
This drives me nuts because finding that balance can feel impossible sometimes. In my recent project, we used multi-layered green roof systems which added greenery without sacrificing space. I’d love to hear more about specific parks in Copenhagen — how they’re designed to engage the community.
Finding the right balance can be really tricky. In my last project, we experimented with integrating community gardens into the design, which not only provided green space but also encouraged social interaction. I think it’s essential to involve local input to figure out what works best for the community — something Copenhagen seemed to nail.
